Hello everyone,
Last week, I was lucky enough to be invited by my former consultant , Dr Jelena Stojanovic, to speak at an annual doctors conference known as the 4th Pediatric Kidney Transplantation Symposium, organised by herself and other experts in the field. I spoke to a room full of the best minds from not only across the country, but across the world. Doctors come from all over to take part in the conference and I am honoured to have opened the event. The whole conference was also live streamed on YouTube to over 10 different countries.
I thought you might like to watch me doing my speech. So, here we are:
I hope you enjoyed watching me tell my story. I like speaking about my past as it reminds me how far I have come and how well I am doing now. I think this is a lesson that everyone can take on board – embrace the hard times because the good times feel even better when you do.
Of course I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for my donor so I must always remember I owe my life to them.
Saving a life couldn’t be simpler. All you have to do is click this link and fill out your details and you could some day, enable another to live their life as I have been allowed to live mine. Don’t forget to tell your family of your wishes.
See you next week with a festive post in time for the countdown to Christmas!
