It seems that every blog post I write nowadays begins with an apology for my extreme lack of of posts. Well, I am afraid that work has simply taken over my life – and it shall stay this way for a while, probably until around mid-June. However, my posting won’t completely stop, but most likely remain at the snails pace that it is at the moment. Sorry again, but I do hope that this Summer will be full of updates of the exciting things that I will be doing and a new blog post every single week.
In recent news, received a sweet surprise when reading my friend’s blog. One of my best friends and fellow bloggers Hannah’s HeartBeat nominated me for an internet award called the Liebster Award – I know, I was thinking the same thing when I first read Hannah’s post in which she nominated me – what on earth is that? Well, as she described it, it works like a chain.A blogger receives an online award and answers the ten questions given to them. They then nominate a blogger of their choice to answer their questions and so on.
Thank you so much Hannah for nominating me. I really enjoyed answering your questions. Here are my answers:
- What inspired you to start your blog?
I think first and foremost, I just love writing. I’ve always wanted to write a blog, for as long as I’ve been able to read them. I always had the desire to tell my story and inspire others too, so, one day, waiting at the hospital during my radiotherapy I got out my laptop and started writing.
2.Your best piece of advice for another teen living with illness?
Hang on in there. Life can be pretty darn crap sometimes, but the rain always clears and the sun always shine eventually – even if its just for a while.
3. Which blog post did you most enjoy writing?
Once I get started, I enjoy writing most of my posts. But one of my favourites to write was the interview I did with McBusted. Meeting and interviewing them was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I just couldn’t wait to share it with everyone! The link is here if you haven’t had the chance to check it out : EXCLUSIVE MCBUSTED INTERVIEW
4. If you could do anything you wanted right now, what would it be?
If I could do anything right this second, I would pack my bags and jet off to a lovely hot country for a couple of weeks. I could really do with a cocktail on the beach right now – not to mention a tan.
5. If money was no object, what would you do all day?
Travelling! I would be travelling the world! Everyday I would go somewhere new. I would visit countries all across the world, try new food and meet new people. In fact, thats at the top of my bucket list – to visit every continent on the planet at least once.
6.Where do you most want to travel to, but have never been?
I would love to travel to South Africa – there is so many amazing things to see there. But most of all, I want to go on a genuine safari and by that I mean somewhere a bit more genuine than Longleat Safari Park.
7.What is your favourite memory?
I have so many beautiful and amazing memories. One of them is definitely of when I went to Cyprus last year with one of my best friends Hannah the author of the amazing Hannah’s Heartbeat and our other best friend Katie. More specifically, when we went snorkelling in the sea. It was incredible and I will never forget it.
8.If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?
I’d travel back in time to the swingin’ sixties or seventies. The disco era! Something about disco balls and sparkly clothes really appeals to me.
9. What does your life say about you?
I think my life say that I’m a strong and rather determined (and sometimes stubborn) person. I don’t give up easily and I’m always ready to put up a hell of a fight!
10. How would your friends describe you?
I think, or I hope, that my friends would describe me as fun, kind and always up for a laugh.
Here are the questions for my nominee:
- What is your favourite thing to do to cheer yourself up when you are feeling down?
- Who or what is your biggest inspiration in life and why?
- What is at the top of your bucket list? – In other words, one thing you want to do before you die?
- What has been the happiest moment of your life so far?
- What is your favourite type of food (in terms of country?)
- Guilty pleasure?
- Favourite quote?
- Who is your celebrity crush?
- Words of wisdom?
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
I would like to nominate…. YOU! for the Leibster Award. I would love to hear about you so please do answer my questions in the comment section below – I’d love to read about you! If you don’t feel like answering all of the questions, simply answer your favourite/s!
